Nice people of the world, this one's for you! Within the last week we have had acts of kindness coming at us left and right.
1. We were out home teaching and as we walked in the lady was carrying buckets of produce from the garden. The first words out of her mouth were, "would you like some to take home?" Sam said something like, "we can't say no to that." And we went home excited because fresh vegetables are the best! Thank you!
2. It was Sunday and we woke up from our afternoon nap. We had people coming over in about an hour and we were putting things away. All of the sudden our doorbell rang. It's our neighbors from down the street. They had a basketful of produce for us! Isn't that so nice!! We invited them in and talked for a minute. What thoughtful people! Thank you!
3. We had some friends who called us up the other day and said that they wanted to feed us, but didn't have a table. They wanted to bring dinner to our house. We said of course and they came over with a delicious meal! Mmmmm. Afterwards they said they wanted to be more generous and insisted that we take the food and have it for leftovers. We were so grateful. I had a nice lunch the next day! :). Thank you!
Overall, what I am trying to say, is that there are some seriously kind people out there. It makes me want to step it up so that I can be the person surprising others with kind things. To all who do random acts of kindness, thank you! You are loved and appreciated!
PS. The generous acts of food kindness may be the blessings from fast offering. Just a thought.
